Parmesan and Pear Crostini

Crostini has to be one of my favorite appetizers. Who can say no to bread and cheese? Not me! This appetizer pairs toasty baguette slices, parmesan cheese, pear, fresh fennel, and honey for an easy, tasty dish that can be put together in less than 20 minutes. For this recipe, all we’re doing is slicing up a baguette, top with sliced parmesan, and stick it into the oven. While the cheese is melting you can quick slice up your pears. Pull the crostini out of the oven, put your pears and fennel on top, and drizzle with honey. BOOM done. img_1853Because the parmesan is a little stronger, salty cheese, the sweetness of the pear and honey really balance it out. Make sure your pears are nice and ripe so the textures are right in this recipe as well! I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did!img_1854

Parmesan and Pear Crostini

Yield: 9 Crostinis     Prep time:10 mins     Cook time:10 mins


  • 9 slices of baguette
  • 9 slices fresh parmesan cheese
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • 1 tbs fresh fennel
  • 2 tbs honey


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Top baguette slices with parmesan slices and place on baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. Pull crostini out of oven one cheese is melted and top each with 3 pear slices and fresh fennel.
  3. Drizzle with honey and serve.
